I've been creating poetry since I was a kid, and for as long as I can remember writing has felt like a safe and expressive place for my feelings, fears, and dreams. I've also spent over 20 years as a health and wellness professional and have witnessed some of the most inspiring, heartbreaking, and courageous stories. I’ve noticed a common theme-no matter our backgrounds or experiences, we all have moments when we forget how brave we are, how much inherent worth we have, and how much our unique light is needed in the world.  I believe affirming words have the power to remind us that healing is possible, that authenticity is beautiful, and most of all, that we’re not alone in our struggles or our humanity.
